Bring a head of red or green cabbage weighing about 1.5 pounds and, optionally, any special ingredient(s) and spices that strike your taste a carrot, a beet, a bunch of dill, a chili pepper, burdock, garlic, shitake mushrooms, an apple, a lemon, carraway seed, etc., as well as a wide-mouth quart-sized mason jar, a mixing bowl, and either a mandoline slicer or a knife and cutting board. We'll help you flavor, mix, pack, and protect your kraut as it ferments.
