After using the basic generic period calendar, Wendy ruminated, wouldn’t it be nice to have a better looking version of this thing? Something you don’t mind hanging on the bathroom wall? Or tucking in your nightstand? She mentioned it to Bella while they were at the baby gym, and the idea took root.
Of course apps exist for tracking your cycle, but we are fairly certain nobody wants another reason to pick up their phone. While an app relies on data to tell you how you're feeling, moon cycle wisdom is an invitation to notice and understand your unique rhythms on a deeper level.
This calendar was created as a way to honor your cycle, all parts of it. The cycles of your body are not an inconvenience. Remember those commercials in the 1990s where women just use a tampon or take an Advil and go play tennis (in a white tennis skirt no less) or ball bust in the boardroom?
It feels tired to portray menstruation as a nuisance to just deal with while you go about your day, as though nothing is happening. Something IS happening and there are many benefits to practicing self-care specific to each menstrual phase.
Tracking your menstrual cycle alongside the lunar cycle is an ancient practice that grounds you to the rhythms of the natural world. There are four phases of the lunar cycle and four phases of the menstrual cycle that reflect distinct similarities. Over the course of four weeks, (on average) our hormones fluctuate with amazing changes that influence everything from energy, to work productivity, creativity, metabolism, immune health, and more. Beginning to learn about your unique menstrual relationship to the moon cycle can be as simple as noticing what phase the moon is in during your period.

This holistic personal journal sheds light on the otherwise misunderstood details that take part in each of the four menstrual phases: menstruation, pre-ovulation, ovulation, and pre-menstruation.
The Menstrual Calendar Journal includes examples of dietary and herbal suggestions to support you in each menstrual phase. It additionally includes four totally customizable pages for each phase‚ a calendar to track your cycle, lined paper to write your new moon wishes or monthly intentions, graph paper to track your basal body temperature, blank paper for your creative musings, a cycle dial to give you a snapshot of where you'll be in your cycle throughout the month, and an 11" x 17" Lunar Calendar!
This journal is intended for those not on hormonal birth control (hormonal contraceptives prevent ovulation and interrupt hormonal changes in the body so this resource will not be applicable), those who want to gain awareness around their menstrual cycle and fertility, and those who want to track their body's fertility signs so they can avoid or achieve pregnancy.

Inspired by the many abandoned wooden homestead shacks sprinkled across the Mojave Desert, Homestead bath salts are scented with cedar, vetiver and frankincense. A woodsy scent with essential oils that are believed to have anti-inflammatory properties.
Scent: Cedar 7 oz pouch of magnesium bath salts. Recommended use is 1 bag for 1 bath.
This fantasy scent that was inspired by resilient, but non-native roses that are planted in the desert and actually thrive! This scent is rose with clove that suggests a hot desert wind blowing through open windows of a small flower shop full or roses. It is our favorite scent! It is not an overly feminine floral scent, but it smells like cut flowers and warm air.
Scent: Rose and Clove. 7 oz pouch of magnesium bath salts. Recommended use is 1 bag for 1 bath.
Sometimes the desert inspires you to leave! To head for lush trees, swimming holes and cooler air. Pacific Coast is a memory…of driving down eucalyptus tree-lined roads and quiet hikes through ancient forests, deep in fern and moss worlds that thrive in moist, coastal salt air.
Scent: Eucalyptus, Fir and Mint. 7 oz pouch of magnesium bath salts. Recommended use is 1 bag for 1 bath.
In a culture that constantly tells us to do more of everything but simultaneously pressures us to do nothing, Permission to Rest is a passionate cry for a more regulated, resourced, and rested life.
Wellness expert Ashley Neese combines personal essays, contemplative questions, scientific research, and somatic practices to help us disrupt the state of urgency, reflect inward, and relax deeply. Neese examines common beliefs around rest and offers support and guidance to challenge the shame, guilt, and discomfort that often arise when we attempt to slow down.
Neese presents a series of body-focused best practices for those who are running on empty, such as Cultivating a Rest/Work Rhythm, Nature Bathing, and Social Media Sabbatical. She addresses common roadblocks when beginning a rest practice, the incredible health benefits of prioritizing rest, and a number of holistic resources for developing a sustainable relationship with rest.
