Fall Sandal Making Workshop

We will be gathering two Sundays in November, the 6th the 13th, to make custom handmade sandals in a small group! Rachel Corry shall guide us through. Both nights we will gather from 5pm til approximately 9pm.

In this workshop we will be working with a particular sandal design that Rachel worked out (pictured) and making variations from this starting off point. This sandal consists of a leather top sole, leather toe and ankle straps, a synthetic or leather (yr choice) bottom sole. It can either go in a casual or an elegant direction - up to you! For those Born to Run fans these may just serve to be your most practical running sandal yet. Some of the options you will have are what color leather to use, where straps should be placed, whether or not to add a heel, and what kind, if any, of hardware to use. Once the group is finished with the 2nd day of sandal construction, Rachel will take the almost-finished shoes to be sanded, finessed and polished up and will return them to Gravel & Gold in two days ready for pick-up and wear!

All materials and tools, including leather, hardware, and knives will be provided.
