Glass Peace

Eri Kawaguchi is the sweetheart behind Glass Peace. She splits her time between San Francisco and Shiga, Japan, where she keeps a stained glass studio. Eri began apprenticing with a stained glass master in 2001 and began her own practice in 2003, mostly selling on the street in Kyoto and at music festivals. Her playful, organic glass necklaces are inspired by walks in nature and by the people Eri has met in her travels. She also hand dyes textiles using traditional Japanese methods and materials, such as natural indigo and boiled onion skins for dye. She thinks of her work as a means of communication with all the friends she’s met over the years.
