Kurt Fausset
Coming up in Florida, I have a different perspective on knitwear because I never wore sweaters. Nothing has a reference point for me, so my knits are totally bizarre.
The main thing that I always tell people is that, first, I’m an architecture student who learned how to knit, so most of my knitting has to do with manipulating grids, and striking the right combination of algebra, geometry, and proportion. More than anything else I enjoy using mathematics to create beauty—taking something that is very cold and intellectual and making it emotional.
