When Marianna showed up at the shop wearing this fabulous vintage buckskin skirt, acquired at a friendly clothing swap, I knew, first, that she was going to fit right in around here and, second, that she required the vintage sheepskin coat looming in the upper left hand corner of this photo to complete her ensemble. Jewels for sheepyskin—a trade any woman should be prepared to make. She really looks great in that thing.
Marianna has been making jewelry since she was a little kid messing around in her mom’s box of beads and broken jewelry parts. She still loves coming upon a tangle of chains and charms and channeling the matched partners among them to make treasure out of another fellow’s junk.
