The Ladies of Gravel & Gold are so very proud of Graham Nash, OBE for being honored today at Buckingham Palace.  My awesome Papa received the Order of the British Empire (OBE) from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, and is pictured here with his sister, Elaine, on the left and my beautiful Mama, Susan, on the right. Dadu, we humbly bow before you and praise you with our most heartfelt  CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just so y’all get a taste of what a gem this man is, here is what my Dad had to say about the experience in an email sent to me today…

What a truly unbelievable day that was…..
off to the palace and had a conversation with Her Majesty..
she talked to me longer than anyone else…
so many thoughts about my parents and what they would have thought..
she was most gracious and I was brave enough to let her know how lovely she was..
for 84 years old she still has a great twinkle in her eyes..
we talked about the Hollies…. Yes, I was amazed..
the Palace is fabulous.. the art was stunning…
Rembrandt, Vermeer, Cannaletto etc.. what a day..

P.S.  Of course, anyone who knows anything about the real rock’n’roll lifestyle knows that the only person cooler than the rockstar himself is the rockstar’s impressive wife.  That is to say, amazing outfit choice, Mama.  You look like a million bucks!
