The San Francisco local foods wheel, released in 2006, shows what's in season and local within about 150 miles of San Francisco, from Sonoma to the Delta, to the upper part of the Central Coast, and, of course, in the Pacific Ocean! Some of the unique local foods available in the region include Dungeness Crab, Oysters, avocados, and an abundance of citrus fruits. The Bay Area is also notable for its year-round growing season!
