San Francisco, CA | Daniel was born and raised in West Marin. He enrolled in ceramics as an elective class in 6th grade, and became passionate quickly with the medium. Growing up in nature and in an environment where the aesthetic is heavily influenced by folk art, his work naturally rebelled, and gravitated toward early modernism and focused on proportion and finish. His shapes have maintained a streamline cleanliness and he has left it to the slips and glazes to give his work a softness that invites the user to treat it like a living object.
He currently lives in the Mission District and works out of Ruby's clay studio in Noe Valley.
