Modern Still Life Embroidery

August 14th 2016 5PM-7PM

Students will learn classic embroidery stitches to create drawings in thread of a very G&G still life- think stones, plants, art, and more! We will take a little time to draw objects, learn image transfer techniques to transfer images to fabric, and create a piece of textile art. We will learn four classic embroidery stitches including: French knots, running stitch, back stitch, and satin stitch.

All materials will be provided and everyone will take home their fabric, some extra thread and needles, an embroidery hoop, and a stitch instruction packet for later reference.
