Textile Historians delight! This sturdy 100% cotton seersucker was woven in Japan. The word Seersucker is an Anglicized version of the Persian phrase shir-o-shakar, or -"milk and sugar". The name speaks to the smooth and puckered stripes in the material, describing the two distinct textures of the fabric, the puckered areas like- sugar and the smooth stripes resembling milk- though in this case – is more towards salt and pepper, milk and cola, or pencil and paper. We take great pleasure in sourcing premium trims. The elastic and drawstring were made to order in Japan, and provide unmatched quality and longevity to the list of materials that comprise this garment.
We encourage a hand wash or a delicate cycle and line dry, but this garment can stand up to a regular wash if needed,It may shrink a tiny tiny bit if you use a dryer.
