Darn it! Sweater Repair Workshop

Saturday June 14th 2025, from 10 - 11:30 am 

Join us for a workshop in partnership with Audrey of Salvage Studio to learn how to repair your hole-y sweaters. > In this hands-on 1.5 hour workshop, participants will learn how to repair holes in sweaters through woven darning. We will learn how to repair a ladder run, how to source yarn from your sweater for an exact color match, and practice both visible and invisible techniques on a sampler. A darning kit, including needles, snips, knit picker, and snag-nab-it is provided for each student to use in class and take home. At the end of class (time permitting), you are welcome to bring in your sweaters needing repair to ask Audrey advice on how to approach your specific garment's issue.

Audrey is the owner of Salvage Studio, a zero waste denim and garment repair business mending hole-y, ripped and torn textiles. Founded in 2021, she has repaired thousands of vintage and modern pieces for folks in the Bay Area and across the country. She also teaches mending workshops and repair happy hours for corporations, brands and the public.
