Gina Tuzzi is an artist and craftswoman from Santa Cruz, California. Her work is inspired largely by the unique and inspiring solar system of mythologies that exist here in her home state. By re-appropriating symbols sampled from popular love songs, spiritual divination, familial history and her own quiver of personal desires, she aims to celebrate the presence of this idyll as it exists within its landscape and many modern day tribes.
She received her B.A. from Humboldt State University and her M.F.A. from Mills College. She is a Libra, a dreamweaver and a dedicated follower of reggae sounds. The day she was born, Mark Richards was the world champion of surfing and Jack & Diane was the number one song on the radio. She lives and works in Oakland.
