Isa Gagarin (Gibbous Goods) is an artist based in Minneapolis, MN. Born in Guam and raised in Hawai'i, she graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design with a BFA in painting in 2008. Gagarin has exhibited work in solo and group exhibitions in Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam (NL). Her work has been published in several artist books.
Gagarin started producing the annual Full Moon Calendar in 2011, when her friends at Ship & Shape (Minneapolis) encouraged her to explore illustration and design projects. She draws a different area of the lunar landscape for each year's edition, and uses a drum cymbal as a cutting guide. There is a crater named Gagarin, located on the dark side of the moon.
