Wigwam

Knitting equipment from the Sheboygan Knitting Company was salvaged from a devastating 1904 factory fire and soon, the Hand Knit Hosiery Company began knitting again. Since 1905, they have been producing a great variety of knits, including sweaters, jackets, and indeed socks that continue to be staple in American households.

In 1957, with the intruduction of their leather soled TeePee slipper socks, Hand Knit Hosiery Company became Wigwam Mills, Inc. Wigwam still produces their socks in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
