Dux

Dux has been manufactuing pencil sharpeners since the 1950′s, and their products still stand up today as great examples of utilitarian German design.

The sharpeners we carry at the shop are made of Duroplast, a recycled resin plastic, cousin to Bakelite, that is strong enough to serve as the body for the Trabant motor car and tasty enough to feed pigs, sheeps, and other farm animals. I like that Dux found a good design, and good materials, long ago and stuck right with ‘em.
