Nile has graduated from her Nurse Midwifery program! She can now catch the babies for real. Hip-hip-hooray!
The above tourist photo was taken over three years ago on the morning she went for her interview at UCSF, when she was wrapped up in a sunrise shawl her mama knit for her. And the bottom photo, the one with her awesome brothers, Jack and Willie, the pro heidi braids, the just right quantity of witchy rings, and of course the moon-grown stalks of wheat belted caftan (courtesy of Joe Meade), in other words, the one that shows the full spectrum of her true midwife character, was taken on Tuesday. We are so proud of you, Nilie!
