Mark Andrew Gravel is a conceptual artist working with urban and agrarian foodways. His bean-based temporary restaurant happenings and media projects move fluidly between social sculpture, relational aesthetics, urban intervention and cultural production and seek to transform social spaces as a means to engage society with the sensual, emotional, moral and economic values of eating. Mark currently lives and works between Brooklyn NY and San Francisco CA.
