Event: Ed Masuga’s Musical Throw Down

16 July 2008
Cassie McGettigan

Here’s Ed comin’ up from the beach on his bici this past weekend, claiming his fair share of fun at the super duper Angel Island music festival group hang situation. Look like the sort of fella who knows a thing or two about singing sweet songs, playing a little guitar and making serious merry? Right you are, friend. Right. You. Are.

Join us at the shop this weekend for your very own slice of Ed Masuga’s magic. Ed’s going to come by and play a few songs off his new record, Lonely Dog, beneath the corrugated steel awning, the nighttime fog, stars and all the rest. This go around, we’ll make it a Saturday night shindig, this July 19th, with ice-cold beers beginning to flow around 8 o’clock and the music starting up around 9.

Like the naughty aunties we properly should be and will become, we’ll go ahead and slip you a little advance treat. Here’s Ed singing a country tune, “Bessie May,” off of the Lonely Dog album.

To find out more about this track and download it for free, check out Ed’s Sutros page: http://sutros.com/songs/117. Alternatively, to listen to a few more tracks from the album, stop by Ed’s website: www.edmasuga.com. Stoked!
